The apartment Il Ghibellino is located in the historic center of Florence, in one of the most ancient and fascinating quarter of the city. It is only a few steps from the beautiful Piazza Santa Croce that, besides being one of the most beautiful piazzas of Florence, has became the meeting place for the Florentine nightlife and host often important artistic and cultural events of the city. Once a year, for example, it takes place in the square the so-called calcio storico fiorentino (the historical football of Florence); in the beautiful atmosphere of the square, dominated by the church and the statue of Dante, two different teams play, ane against the other, the historical football of Florence, wearing the old and typical dresses of that time.

The quarter in which the apartment is located, one of the oldest of the city, also offers the opportunity to know Florence not only from a touristic point of view, but also to enjoy the typical life of the city. In Piazza Sant'Ambrogio for example, that is located about 300 metres from the house, it takes place every morning a big and beautiful market which offers, among fruit and vegetables, typical products of the Florentine and Italian cuisine of high quality and at reasonable prices.
